Founded in 2012 and operating under California Community Care License #376700936 with a 29-child capacity, Aspen Leaf Preschool runs its Hillcrest campus on Third Avenue near Bankers Hill as a teacher-owned site serving children ages two through five. The emergent curriculum builds literacy, math, and science lessons around the children's unfolding interests, with Forest School field trips to canyons and county green spaces including Pioneer Park. Classrooms are organized into learning centers for building, dramatic play, science investigation, art, and early reading rather than worksheet-driven instruction.
