Mural Alley

Art Gallery & Museums

About

Identifying as Latino-owned, LGBTQ+ owned, Indigenous-owned, and disabled-owned, Mural Alley is an open-air art park tucked off 435 University Avenue at the entrance to the Hillcrest commercial core. The walkable corridor showcases rotating large-format murals from local and visiting artists, complementing the living-sculpture programming at Trees for Health Garden as a free street-level cultural stop. Live performances activate the alley on a published schedule, ranging from spoken-word sets to acoustic showcases. The wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking make the space usable for guests who pair the visit with a private gallery rental at Bankers Hill Club. The most involved projects coordinated through the alley are full mural-commission programs where curators handle artist sourcing, wall prep, paint sponsorship, and unveiling-event production for property owners.
