Opened in 2009 by an SDSU-trained pianist and active Music Teachers' Association of California member, Mission Hills Music runs a private-lesson studio on Washington Street in Mission Hills for students age six through adult. The faculty covers piano, voice, guitar, violin, and ukulele from a single storefront, placing it alongside string specialists like Cello Loft on the uptown lesson map. Students prepare year-round for San Diego music festivals, MTAC events, and community recitals across the county. Performance pathways extend beyond the studio recital hall to ticketed showcases at venues including Center Stage Children's Theatre. The most advanced track prepares classical and film-scoring students for conservatory auditions, drawing on instructor experience from Berklee College of Music and SDSU music education programs.
