About

Founded in 1948 and fully accredited through the Diocese of San Diego, St. Vincent de Paul School enrolls roughly 230 students from Preschool age two through eighth grade on Ibis Street in Mission Hills under an 18-to-1 student-teacher ratio. The school operates as the parish school of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and blends the San Diego Diocesan Curriculum with the California State Framework and Common Core standards. Academic programming runs from a two-year kindergarten track beginning with Transitional Kindergarten at age four and a half through grade eight, with before- and after-school extended care available for working families. The choir program performs at school Masses and local gatherings, supplementing classroom arts with creative partnerships at studios including Play Studios for instrumental and movement enrichment. The most academically demanding track is the eighth-grade program, which completes Catechism-based apologetics study alongside algebra, literature, and a graduation portfolio before high school placement.
