About

NABCEP-certified and holding CSLB C-10 license #905059, Mission Solar Electric has installed more than 2.3 megawatts of residential solar across San Diego County from a Falcon Street base in Mission Hills since the company began operations in 2007. The current service scope is focused on retrofits, repairs, and battery additions to existing arrays — including systems originally installed by other contractors — which often overlaps with reroofing by Gen819 Roofing San Diego when a composition-shingle replacement requires panels to be pulled and reset. Lithium battery retrofits under NEM 3.0 economics cover emergency backup, rate arbitrage against SDG&E time-of-use tariffs, and SGIP rebate qualification where available. String-inverter replacements, microinverter swap-outs, and monitoring-gateway reconfigurations keep aging arrays reporting accurately through the 25-year warranty window. New-construction solar rough-in coordination — conduit paths, service-entrance sizing, and roof-deck blocking — is a stage the shop historically handled on custom-home builds with Southwest Builders before framing and roofing closed in. The most technically involved retrofit is a NEM 2.0-to-NEM 3.0 battery conversion with a whole-home backup gateway, which requires load-shedding programming, critical-circuit repaneling, and a full production-consumption metering cutover.
