Senor Mangos at 101 Washington St is the first drive-thru location for the San Diego juice operation that two brothers started in 2002 while attending San Diego State University. The drive-through format processes juice, smoothie, and acai bowl orders without leaving the car, a grab-and-go speed rare among Hillcrest's independent food operations and distinct from the dine-in gelato experience at Gelato Vero Caffe on India St. This third location, which opened in 2025 inside a converted former restaurant structure on Washington Street, serves the same scratch-made menu of acai bowls, fresh-squeezed juices, smoothies, tortas, wraps, and salads as the original North Park shops. Signature items include the escamocha -- finely chopped seasonal fruits in sweet cream with diced almonds and coconut -- and the chamango, a thick mango blend with housemade chile sauce, lime, and chamoy. Fresh-pressed tortas and custom sandwich builds round out the menu beyond juice and bowls, adding a Mexican sandwich counter to the 92103 corridor alongside Big Front Door's craft deli builds on University Ave. The most elaborate order is a fully customized multi-fruit acai bowl with granola, fresh berries, coconut, and a drizzle of housemade honey or chile-lime sauce layered to specification.
