The new suite shares walls with other grooming tenants in the building, giving walk-in shoppers multiple chair options inside a single entry. Adding color, blowouts and women's cut-and-style services positions the shop to absorb referrals that barbers historically routed to full-service hair houses — the same lane Salon 5th Avenue has built its clientele in on this corridor. The most involved project at the new location is a full cut-color-finish transformation handled in the same chair as a traditional straight-razor shave, a combined service the previous Fifth Avenue location was not built to support.
