About

Fiji Prints is a Hillcrest-based linocut printmaking and mixed-media studio whose curatorial practice started with one of Yangon, Myanmar’s first openly queer art exhibitions in 2019. Hand-pulled relief prints, illustrated zines, and small-edition art books from the studio move through independent booksellers in the neighborhood including Bluestocking Books. Studio output spans hand-carved linoleum block prints, original paintings, illustration commissions, public murals, short films, and exhibition curation. Teaching is part of the practice as well, with introductory carving and printing workshops that fit into the broader Hillcrest creative-education ecosystem alongside programs like San Diego Art Camp. The most involved projects are full curated group exhibitions — sourcing the artist roster, designing the install, hand-printing limited-edition show posters, and producing the accompanying catalog.
