Aesthetics Inc

Architecture & Design

About

In continuous operation since 1980, Aesthetics Inc runs a national healthcare design practice from 2900 Fourth Avenue in Hillcrest, specializing in wayfinding systems, regional arts programs, interpretive displays, and interior architecture for hospitals and medical campuses. The studio pioneered evidence-based, patient-centered design principles now codified in published work on arts-in-health, placing the practice in a different lane than residentially oriented interior-architecture neighbors such as Hollander Design Group. Project scopes span curated regional art collections, donor recognition walls, interpretive displays, chapels, and healing garden planning, executed across more than 200 medical facilities and 400 collaborating institutions. A multidisciplinary staff of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, environmental designers, and arts consultants executes every scope in-house — a full-service staffing model that lets the firm deliver wayfinding, interior architecture, and arts-program scopes from a single drawing set rather than routing graphics work to outside consultants, the same integrated-staff approach Veitzer Leonard runs on its Hillcrest corridor projects. The firm's signature Arts & Healing program at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital coordinated a multi-year art installation integrated directly into the architectural design, representing the studio's highest-complexity scope of work.
