Gilles Foot and Ankle in Encinitas provides podiatric surgery and conservative foot care from Suite 305 at 320 Santa Fe Drive, on the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas campus. Dr. Gilles graduated from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in 2015 and completed his residency at Scripps Encinitas, where he designed and implemented the hospital's first-ever podiatric residency program — a post-surgical training pipeline that parallels the sports-recovery model at PRN Physical Therapy - Encinitas. He currently serves as Assistant Director of that residency, training foot and ankle surgeons who now practice across North County. A North County resident since 1997, Dr. Gilles established the practice in 2023 after building the Scripps podiatry program from the ground up. His surgical caseload spans bunionectomy, neuroma excision, hammertoe correction, and first metatarsal phalangeal joint arthrodesis, the same high-impact lower-extremity conditions managed conservatively at Advanced Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine before surgical referral.
