Encinitas Ranch Golf Course in Encinitas's New Encinitas district is an 18-hole championship layout designed by ASGCA member Cary Bickler and built by JC Resorts on the former Ecke Ranch flower farm in 1998. The facility's 6,000-square-foot clubhouse hosts corporate outings, golf-course weddings, and banquets in a format that parallels the event production at Fox Point Events. The course earned the 2023 NGCOA Regional Course of the Year for the West Region and the 2021 CGCOA Course of the Year, and in 2025 received the WateReuse California Recycled Water Customer of the Year award for its irrigation program. An on-site GOLFTEC teaching center and PGA-certified instruction staff delivered over 31,000 lessons in a recent season, feeding into a PGA Junior League program that claimed national championship titles in 2015 and 2018 — a competitive development track complemented by the retail selection at nearby Breakfast Republic for post-round fuel on El Camino Real. The layout plays 6,587 yards from the tips at a 71.2 rating and 127 slope, with five sets of tees, a 20-plus-bay driving range, and San Diego County's only dedicated 12-hole putting course featuring two difficulty tiers across windswept bluff-top terrain with constant Pacific Ocean views.
