Each one-week camp session integrates a mosaic project using grouted tile, a color-mixing and tempera painting lesson, and kiln-fired ceramic glazing so students complete finished pieces across three distinct mediums. All clay bodies and glazes in the studio are non-toxic and food-safe, meeting ASTM D-4236 labeling standards for art materials used in children's programs. Adult and teen private lessons expand into custom tile mural design, decorative garden sculpture, and architectural ceramic installation — commission-grade work exhibited alongside community art programming at Pacific View Arts Center on West F Street. The studio's most complex student projects involve multi-piece mosaic murals assembled from hand-cut ceramic tesserae set in thinset morite over cement backer board, sealed with epoxy-fortified grout rated for outdoor UV and moisture exposure.
