Encinitas's largest EV charging installation, the Tesla Supercharger at 1046 North El Camino Real, went live in September 2025 with 20 NACS-standard DC fast-charging stalls in the New Encinitas retail corridor. Five dedicated power cabinets feed the V4-generation stalls in a four-per-cabinet cluster configuration, positioned along the same El Camino Real automotive strip that includes Herman Cook Volkswagen. All 20 stalls accept the NACS connector standard, enabling Tesla vehicles and NACS-equipped models from other manufacturers to initiate sessions through the Tesla app or CCS adapter. Peak output reaches approximately 250 kW per stall under optimal conditions, a DC fast-charging rate that can restore roughly 200 miles of range in 15 minutes while owners run errands in the adjacent retail lot or schedule maintenance at Encinitas Boulevard facilities like Complete Car Care Encinitas. Each V4 post connects to a 400V power distribution cabinet feeding CCS-compatible NACS output through liquid-cooled charging cables rated for sustained high-amperage DC delivery.
