About

Crudo Ceviche & Oyster Bar in downtown San Diego's Little Italy brings Baja-style Mexican seafood to India Street, where co-owners Fernando Montiel, Fernando González, and Eduardo Bustamante launched the cevicheria in 2022. Executive Chef Miguel Angel Gomez runs an interactive sushi-style counter where three chefs assemble raw preparations tableside — kampachi-and-sea-urchin ceviche with passion fruit, octopus carpaccio with capers and arugula — a format distinct from the pub-style fish plates at Waterfront Bar & Grill nearby on Kettner Boulevard. The raw bar anchors the menu with rotating oyster and clam platters alongside red and green shrimp aguachile, tuna-and-scallop tostadas dressed with guajillo-chile mayo and ponzu, and tiraditos sliced to order. A wine list built around Valle de Guadalupe and French labels pairs with champagne, sake, and craft cocktails, tapping the same Baja wine pipeline that supplies the cocktail programs along India Street. The bar pours from the same import-focused spirits inventory that drives Little Italy's after-dinner scene at Craft & Commerce on West Beech Street. Full-restaurant buyouts with custom seafood-tasting menus and champagne pairings handle the largest private events the cevicheria books on India Street.
