With nearly twenty years of clinical experience, Dr. Murphy specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, and addiction, approaching substance use disorders from a humanistic, non-twelve-step perspective that deliberately avoids the stigmatizing language common in the addiction treatment industry. He currently also works as Clinical Director for the AToN Center in the Encinitas area, bringing eight years of residential rehabilitation experience to his private caseload.
