James A. Bosch, LMFT operated a counseling practice at 2002 Jimmy Durante Blvd #124, Del Mar, CA 92014, where he worked with children, individuals, couples, and families navigating physical and emotional trauma. James brought a deeply personal understanding to his clinical work. Burned as an infant before organized burn-survivor support programs existed, he discovered burn camps in the early 1990s and quickly became a dedicated counselor for other young survivors. That commitment grew into leadership roles as Program Director and Associate Executive Director of the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, one of California's most established burn-survivor organizations. His office on Jimmy Durante Boulevard shared a professional complex with Sue A. Edwards, MFT, a fellow therapist in the same building who specializes in child development and play therapy. James also served as a child specialist at the Burn Foundation's Champ Camp, where he helped camp counselors navigate the complex emotional needs of burn-injured children. He held a master's degree and earned his California LMFT license, registered with the National Provider Identifier database under NPI 1063754885. Beyond his private practice, James contributed to the broader burn-survivor community through writing and advocacy, exploring themes of identity, acceptance, and the intersection of visible difference with personal growth. The Jimmy Durante Boulevard corridor where his office was located remains one of Del Mar's key hubs for mental health services, with providers like Mindpath Health Psychiatrists & Therapists - Del Mar also serving patients nearby. His approach centered on accompanying clients through their own journey back to wholeness.
