Running for over 28 years, the three-day event typically takes place in early November and draws roughly 15,000 attendees who come to shop discounted gear, meet resort representatives, and claim free and discounted lift tickets included with the SnowJam Membership. The expo floor features around 100 exhibitors selling everything from current-season skis and snowboards to boots, bindings, outerwear, and accessories at prices designed to beat online retailers. Professional boot fitters are on-site to help visitors get the right fit before the season starts. SnowJam Membership holders unlock season-long perks including discounted lift tickets at resorts like Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, Snow Valley, Mammoth, Palisades Tahoe, and several Utah destinations, plus lodging deals in Big Bear and Lake Tahoe. General admission tickets are also available for those who just want to browse the gear. Event hours typically run Friday evening from 4 PM to 10 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. On-site parking at the fairgrounds costs $15 when purchased in advance or $20 at the gate. Visitors driving down from out of town often book a room at the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, located minutes from the fairgrounds off Via de la Valle. After a full day of gear shopping, attendees regularly head to En Fuego Cantina & Grill for post-expo margaritas and tacos in the Del Mar Highlands.
