The main room retains its high-arched and beamed ceiling with original church lighting, creating acoustics well suited for the bluegrass concerts and children's musical events the branch regularly hosts. Comfortable Craftsman-style chairs and study tables are scattered throughout, and a quiet California Room houses government documents along with Del Mar and California historical materials. A 580-square-foot community room added in 2009, funded by $200,000 from the County, $50,000 from Friends of the Del Mar Library, and $7,000 from the Del Mar Farmers Market, hosts Toddler and Preschool Story Times, book sales, yoga classes, bridge games, and art classes. The branch offers free Wi-Fi, a MakerBot 3D printer, computers with internet access, and the full San Diego County Library catalog of books, DVDs, audiobooks, and digital materials.
