Sharp Coronado Hospital Emergency Room, 24-hour basic emergency department at 250 Prospect Pl in Coronado, CA 92118, is the only emergency room on Coronado Island, serving residents, military families, hotel visitors, and beachgoers around the clock. Known for being the closest ER without crossing the Coronado Bridge, the department handles trauma stabilization, acute illness, chest pain evaluation, fractures, lacerations, and pediatric emergencies with transfer capability to Sharp Memorial and other Level I trauma centers in the Sharp HealthCare network. The ER operates within the Sharp HealthCare system and shares the Sharp Coronado Hospital campus, which includes the Payne Family Outpatient Pavilion for surgical and imaging services.
