About

A San Diego seafood tradition since 1969, Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar at 1333 Orange Ave in Coronado, CA 92118, opened its Coronado location in 1973 directly adjacent to Hotel del Coronado and now operates eight restaurants across San Diego County. Known for its marinated grilled swordfish in avocado lime butter — named "Best Swordfish in the World" by USA Today — the menu features award-winning fish tacos, freshly shucked oysters, New England Clam Chowder, and a signature Crème Brûlée. The Oyster Bar accepts walk-ins with no reservation needed, serving half-shell oysters, sushi, and craft cocktails alongside San Diego craft beer. Completely remodeled in 2016, the Coronado location features a surround-seating bar, a street-side outdoor patio, and the Del View private dining room for groups up to 60 — on the same block as Miguel's Cocina, which shares Brigantine Custom Catering services. Happy hour runs Monday 3:00 PM to close, Tuesday through Friday and Sunday 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Sunday brunch begins at 10:00 AM. For casual lobster rolls a block off Orange Avenue, Lobster West Coronado is at 1033 B Ave.
