Pop Pops Paleta at 943 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118, opened on the 4th of July 2025 — owned by Coronado residents Shira Ladelsky and Nissim Lavy, who make all paletas fresh in-house using real fruit and natural ingredients with no artificial fillers. Nissim develops each flavor using a proprietary scientific formula rather than a standard recipe, which is why the texture lands closer to rich, creamy gelato than a standard frozen pop — a different approach from the classic scoops at MooTime Creamery down the avenue. Choose from 28 flavors at $6.50 each — highlights include Guava Cheesecake, Mangonada, Belgian Chocolate Wonder, Watermelon Cooler, and Bana-Tella — with toppings like Tajín, chamoy, marshmallow fluff, gummy worms, and chocolate drizzle available to build your own. Half the flavors are milk-based, half are fruit-water-based, with sugar-free and yogurt-based options. The pop art interior features a Coronado Bridge mural on the headphone wall that's become a photo stop in its own right. For Italian-style frozen desserts, Gelato Paradiso is also on Orange Ave. Open Sun–Thu 11am–9pm, Fri–Sat 11am–10pm.
