Cross (X) Architecture is an Indigenous-owned architecture and urban design firm with its United States office at 176 C Avenue, Unit 101, in Coronado and additional studios in Fort Langley, British Columbia, and Las Catalinas, Costa Rica. Coronado Island residential commissions combine the firm's architectural plans with the interior design-build execution of Coastal Dwelling at 1110 First Street, combining schematic design and construction administration under parallel local teams. The practice accepts projects across North America spanning coastal modern single-family homes, mixed-use developments, and community master plans, with a selective client model that prioritizes design ambition over volume. On Coronado Island, completed and in-progress work includes ground-up residences near Coronado Beach that channel floor-to-ceiling glazing, open-plan living, and indoor-outdoor transitions refined through collaboration with Flagg Coastal Homes on the construction side. Construction documents from the C Avenue studio specify marine-grade aluminum window systems, reinforced concrete podiums for bayside lots, and passive ventilation strategies calibrated to the 92118 microclimate.
