Maraya Performing Arts in Chula Vista's Eastlake community is a women-owned performing arts center founded in 2020, offering Broadway Bound triple-threat training in acting, voice, and dance for students ages five through adult. The organization's youth musical theater productions — including Disney's Moana Jr. and SIX: Teen Edition — draw audiences and visiting families who book nearby accommodations at properties such as Hampton Inn Chula Vista Eastlake. A California Arts Council grant recipient, Maraya premiered Bayanihan, an original docu-style dance theater work exploring multigenerational Filipinx family narratives in South Bay San Diego.
