RoboThink Chula Vista is a Latino-owned STEM education center at 2017 Clearwater Place in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista, delivering robotics, engineering, and coding instruction for students ages 5 through 14. The curriculum aligns to NGSS, K12 Computer Science, ISTE, and Common Core standards using proprietary Robotori robotics kits with Arduino boards, sensors, wireless controllers, and Scratch-based coding — a technical-enrichment track that parallels the movement-and-coordination programs at Compass Gymnastics for the same age group. Partnerships span five San Diego County school districts, the City of Chula Vista Recreation Department, the YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, and UCSD, with weekly Robotics Club sessions running at municipal recreation centers across the region. Each eight-class STEM cycle progresses through robot assembly, electronics fundamentals, and structured coding projects, complementing the academic-reinforcement approach used at The Tutoring Center in Chula Vista for core-subject support. Seasonal half-day and full-day camps near Otay Ranch Town Center feature line-follower construction, robot-battle engineering, and Bluetooth-controlled design challenges, with all laptops, tablets, and robotics hardware provided onsite at no equipment cost to partner schools.
