Clean Energy's Chula Vista station at 1800 Maxwell Road dispenses compressed natural gas and Redeem renewable natural gas to commercial fleet vehicles, operating as part of Clean Energy Fuels Corp.'s network of more than 530 CNG and LNG stations across North America. The station was upgraded in partnership with Republic Services to accommodate 35 fueling positions with an estimated annual throughput of 612,000 gallons, a refuse-fleet capacity that places it among the fuel infrastructure serving Chula Vista's southern industrial corridor alongside conventional-fuel operations at Mohsen Oil # 7. Redeem RNG — derived from capturing biogenic methane produced by decomposing organic waste at dairy and landfill sources — reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 300% compared to diesel under California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard accounting methodology. Fleet operators fueling refuse trucks, transit buses, and delivery vans at the Maxwell Road station contribute to the same South Bay vehicle-service ecosystem supported by maintenance and wash facilities including San Diego Gas and Car Wash Chula Vista. The station's time-fill and fast-fill CNG dispensers operate at 3,600 PSI storage pressure, delivering fuel through NGV1 and NGV2 nozzle standards compatible with both light-duty CNG sedans and Class 8 refuse haulers.
