Victory Church & Christian Academy in Chula Vista traces its Lutheran heritage to 1975, when the congregation launched what would become a National Lutheran School Accreditation–certified K–12 campus at 810 Buena Vista Way. The academy enrolls approximately 314 students across kindergarten through twelfth grade, offering AP coursework, competitive athletics, and performing arts within the same educational corridor as Bonita Vista High School and other South Bay secondary institutions. Affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod through the Pacific Southwest District, the congregation formed in 2015 through the merger of Church of Joy Lutheran and Pilgrim Lutheran Church with its existing elementary school. Two distinct worship formats anchor the liturgical schedule: a traditional service featuring classic Lutheran hymnody and congregational prayers, and a blended contemporary gathering incorporating modern worship music alongside the Lutheran lectionary. Performing-arts and enrichment programming supplement the academic core, connecting students to the broader South Bay creative-arts landscape that includes studios such as Inspire School of Ballet. The Buena Vista Way campus encompasses a gymnasium, athletic field, multiple classroom buildings, and a dedicated worship sanctuary, all situated on an elevated parcel overlooking the Otay Lakes Road corridor east of I-805.
