The Slime Kitchen Otay fills a hands-on slime-crafting niche at Chula Vista's Otay Ranch Town Center, where visitors select a polymer base, blend custom scents, mix pigments, and layer textures to build personalized slime creations. The all-ages format positions the Birch Road storefront next to Sesame Place San Diego and other family-oriented entertainment draws, anchoring an all-ages activity corridor on the east side. San Francisco-headquartered Slime Kitchen launched this second San Diego County outpost in November 2025, following its Mission Valley Mall debut earlier that year. The sensory-play concept doubles as an after-school and birthday-party destination that pairs naturally with a boba run to nearby Feng Cha Teahouse inside the same Otay Ranch retail complex. Each station guides participants through a four-step polymer-chemistry sequence — base selection, scent infusion, pigment dispersion, and textural additive layering — producing a take-home creation in under 45 minutes.
