Duwara Consciousness Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating from Carlsbad's Holiday Park on Chestnut Avenue, operates San Diego County's largest fully donation-funded mobile shower program for homeless and at-risk populations. The mobile food trailer launched in August 2019 as the county's first 100% donation-based feeding vehicle, preparing vegetarian meals from a commercial-grade kitchen on wheels and distributing them at rotating sites across San Diego—a mobile food-production model distinct from the event-focused operations at Food By Chef Ty. A seven-stall shower trailer with two integrated washer-dryer units launched in June 2020, providing hot-water showers, clean laundry, and hygiene supplies to unsheltered individuals at sites across the county. The foundation's boldest initiative is Foundation Farms, a 120-acre permaculture project in San Diego County designed to become the region's largest regenerative farm, with a co-op model giving farmworkers partial ownership, on-site transitional housing, and business-development training. Volunteer-driven meal service events at Holiday Park and other North County locations distribute food regardless of housing status, income, or background, extending the same community ethic that North Coast Calvary Chapel and other Carlsbad congregations bring to their outreach programming. Disaster-relief deployments have extended the foundation's reach beyond San Diego, with both the mobile food trailer and seven-stall shower unit transported to Asheville, North Carolina for Hurricane Helene emergency response—a cross-country humanitarian operation staged from the Carlsbad headquarters.
