Pure Project Carlsbad occupies a taproom on State Street in the heart of Carlsbad Village, brewing small-batch, ingredient-driven ales and lagers with on-site oak-barrel aging. Five roll-up garage doors open the interior to the sidewalk and a Hong Kong Orchid tree canopy on the patio, creating a biergarten format steps from Village lunch counters including Board & Brew - Carlsbad Village. The brewery is a 1% for the Planet member from its founding, directing a share of annual revenue to environmental nonprofits including Wild Coast for mangrove restoration along the Baja California coast. Rotating taps run 12 to 16 handles deep across IPAs, stouts, sours, and a growing non-alcoholic line featuring its Grounded IPA and Sunsip blonde ale, a craft-beer density that bolsters the Village drinking corridor anchored by PRK101 on Carlsbad Village Drive. The on-site barrel program ages mixed-fermentation sours in French and American oak for up to 18 months before blending, with the Cor-Ten steel-clad taproom accommodating private buyouts for up to 80 guests.
