Monroe Street Pool in Carlsbad Village is a City of Carlsbad public aquatic facility at 3401 Monroe Street, currently undergoing an 18-month renovation and replacement project expected to continue through summer 2026. The existing infrastructure includes a 25-yard by 25-meter pool, two 1-meter diving boards, a 3-meter diving board, a shallow play area with an access ramp, and six sets of bleachers — a competition-and-recreation layout that supports the same athletic-recovery population served by Seaside Performance Physical Therapy. Full locker-room facilities with tiled showers and per-visit lockers occupy the main aquatic building, which also houses administrative offices for the city's aquatics programming division. Lap swimming, recreation swim, water polo practice, and city-run swim lessons have historically shared the pool's schedule, with the facility's 25-meter width providing sufficient lane capacity for simultaneous programming alongside the mobility-focused recovery work at EmBody Strong - Wholistic Fitness & Massage Therapy. The renovation scope covers structural upgrades designed to modernize the original facility and expand its capacity to serve the growing Carlsbad Village residential base in the 92008 corridor.
